At Fellowship Educational Society, we run Weekend Schools to support the academic and personal development of our students. Our programmes are held across three locations — Reading, Basingstoke, and Oxford — and are designed to help children grow into confident, well-rounded individuals who embrace both their cultural heritage and the values of the wider community.
With the support of our dedicated volunteer teachers, we offer age-appropriate classes in Turkish Language, Turkish Culture, and Personal Development.
Through Turkish Language and Culture lessons, we help students maintain their mother tongue, strengthen their connection to their roots, and take pride in their cultural heritage — an important foundation for identity and belonging.
In our Personal Development classes, students explore themes such as moral values, good manners, empathy, and social responsibility. Learning materials are carefully selected to be engaging and age-appropriate, encouraging students to reflect on how they treat others and contribute positively to their communities.
Alongside their classroom learning, students take part in art, crafts, and group activities that build creativity, teamwork, and social skills. Through these hands-on experiences, they develop values like cooperation, sharing, and kindness — not just in theory, but in practice.
At Fellowship Educational Society, we are proud to offer an inclusive, nurturing environment where young people can celebrate their cultural identity while developing the skills and values they need to thrive.
